Rosie is a dear sweetheart who had a litter of puppies following her racing career. She is a loveable kleptomaniac who likes to collect things around her. Rosie can be a bit bossy at initial introductions to other dogs, but she lives comfortably with male and female Greyhounds in her foster home. She has also lived with cats and small dogs successfully.
Rosie was born with an overbite, which didn't get in the way of her eating, but did cause damage to her teeth. Her severe overbite caused defects in her upper teeth. During her first dental cleaning, Rosie lost a number of her lower teeth and her bottom jaw has somewhat disintegrated and leaving her with teeth in the upper jaw only. Recently, Rosie had extensive dental surgery performed by veterinary dentist, Dr. Patricia Fist-Frost. A special coating was applied to Rosie's remaining canines to correct the defect from her bottom teeth hitting them. The surgery was very successful and has given Rosie a good chance at a longer life. She will always need ongoing dental maintenance and special care during dental cleanings to protect the coatings, but she is now free of pain and constant infections and has enough teeth to hold the remaining jaw structure together.
Rosie is a shy dog with strangers but watches her foster mom constantly. She entertains herself by playing with her toys, chews greenies with delight, and, if she can get away with it, catches flies against the window.
