Big Tex Carlson | Our beloved Big Tex Johnson aka Tex. We had Tex for 8 years and he was a very important part of our family. We will always cherish our memories of him. |
Puddle Duck | Puddle Duck lived with the freedom every Greyhound dreams of. He had the run of his 20 acre farm for most of his life and enjoyed every minute of playtime. His last year was spent relaxing in a warm home, on a soft bed with people who adored him and gave him the special care that a Greyhound deserves. He was a special dog and he will be missed by many people who love him. |
Arnold | Arnold was at home with everyone. He enjoyed most being with people and receiving the attention he deserved. Arnold will be missed greatly by many people who continue to love him although we cannot be with him. |
Phoenix Vookles | Some may remember Phoenix from his 'special needs' story on the GPA web site many years ago. He had broken his leg as a puppy and been saved from euthanasia by his Vet & GPA Northwest. I remembered him instantly when I saw him at a GPA event and took him home forever at 18 months. Unfortunately, forever was too short. He was diagnosed with a sarcoma shortly after he turned 4 (not the leg that had been broken). He did very well initially and thrived on three legs. Unfortunately, the sarcoma returned. He died just over 1 year later; however, I wanted everyone to know that he did well on three legs. My vet said dogs had 3 legs plus a spare, and she was right. |
Inger Vookles |
Inger was the Great Huntress and undisputed Queen of our pack. |
Griffie | Griffie was a member of the family and he holds a special place in our hearts. He will be missed. |
Rosie | Rosie was loved by her foster mom and gave every measure of her love in return. She lived a wonderful life and spent her retirement in the best possible home, enjoying the soft beds and warm yard with the many visiting Greyhounds who also made it their temporary home. She is gone now but not forgotten and will always be a part of our family. |
Jab | The king of his farm, a grade A racer and sire to generations of winners. Jab remains in our hearts and minds as a wonderful boy, full of happiness and love, gentle and affectionate sleeping on a soft bed in his home forever. |
Rory Shirek | I called you my "Dear Boy". When you met people on your walks they told you that you looked like a deer. You thought they just recognized what a special boy you were. We always thought you were an angel, even when you wouldn't stop rooing until you got a cookie. Oh, how you loved to snuggle. Love was abundant in you and our love for you is ten times more. We miss you, Rory. Rory Shirek Apr. 14 2002 - Nov. 18, 2009 |
