Cinder, also known as Cinderella, broke her leg in Florida, which ended her racing career. Her owner contacted us and we were able to bring her into our program within two weeks of her injury. She has been evaluated by our orthopedic surgeon and has had surgery to repair her leg. Cinder should have an excellent recovery and be able to play again soon thanks to quick action by her owner and our ability to transport her so soon.

Cinder-Vet1Cinder's surgery went well and she is now in the recovery phase and healing well. She had some problems with the pin in her leg but we hope that will resolve with more time to heal. She remains casted for support while her leg heals but she gets around very well even with the added weight of the cast.

Cinder will be great once fully healed and she will be a wonderful companion for someone who will let her play at her own pace and exercise safely. She has already made a lasting impression on her foster home.

Cinder found the perfect home with a great couple who travel and love to have a Greyhound companion. Cinder will get to see lots of fun and exciting things with her people and enjoy a pain free life. Her leg is doing great and she will be completely healed within a few weeks. She is truly retired and gets to spend her summers in Oregon and her winters in Arizona.
