Welcome
The primary purpose of Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest is to find responsible loving homes for Greyhounds, which fail to qualify or no longer qualify for the racetrack. Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest acquaints the public with the desirability of Greyhounds as pets and informs them of the availability of these dogs for adoption.
Use the menu's at the top of each page to navigate our website. There is a lot of information and we have tried to arrange it for easy use.
About Our Header Image: The picture at the top of each website page is called, "The Oxbow Boys", and was taken by a professional photographer. These four brindle Greyhounds are littermates, adopted by different people. They all gathered at an event one day, posed together and the photographer captured this wonderful image of them. It was a once in a lifetime photo and represents not only these four great dogs but the unity and support of our members. Working together with one goal, finding loving homes for Greyhounds.
Sponsor A Greyhound
The Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest Sponsorship program cares for Senior Greyhounds and Special Needs Greyhounds that are older or have complicated medical conditions.
Because these Greyhounds require extra care, their stay in our foster homes may be longer than most.
We accept any Greyhound in need, whether the dog was originally placed by Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest or not. No Greyhound is turned away because of injury or age.

Happy Greyhounds In Happy Homes

We are very pleased to present a music video made especially for Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest. The music is an original song by Matt Dahan, called "The Race" and the video was created by Alan Jackson. Both have generously donated their time and talent to make this possible.
Retirement Day For New Greyhounds
We are receiving new dogs almost every week now so your help is needed to prepare them for their foster homes. We give each dog a good brushing, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning and new leash/collar set. After their baths, the dogs will settle into their temporary housing until they can be seen by the veterinarian for their usual surgery and treatments. If you want to come help with the next retirement day, call us at 800-366-1472 or email Adoption for information.
